The dramatic inner hall within the main house creates a stunning auditorium, with up to five other rooms leading off from it for break-off groups. As expected, projectors, screens, wireless internet, flip charts and AV devices are all available and can be set up wherever required. Our marquee, set up in the grounds, can provide a superb backdrop for larger events.Extra activities on site include Clay Pigeon Shooting, Paintball, Archery, Orienteering, Cookery Demonstrations or Wine Tasting in the wine Cellar Bar.Although secluded, The Lodge has excellent transport links; Darlington railway station is 7 miles away and offers excellent links to Edinburgh (2 hours) or London Kings Cross (2.5 hours).By car Leeds, Newcastle and Teesside are all within 1 hours’ drive. Durham Tees Valley Airport is 12 miles away and offers daily flights to many UK and international locations. Those arriving by helicopter can do so by prior arrangement.For mid-week corporate events we can offer an extra two bedrooms, on top of our existing 17 bedrooms, accommodating up to 27 corporate guests.
